Pastor Eric Tietze
|
Pastor Eric founded HOC back in 2003. HOC started out as just individuals who wanted to help out the community they lived in : and this started with serving pancake breakfasts in the community. This has since then expanded to our biweekly food distributions and community support such as our men's recovery home, anger management courses, and professional development such as forklift certification and CPR training.

Melissa G.
Hi Everyone! I'm Melissa and I started volunteering with Heart of Compassion during Covid. I started out helping with traffic control, the registration team, office work, and miscellaneous tasks. Eventually I came on board as the social media manager and have worn many other hats along the way. I am currently serving as an advisor and grant writer.

Dulce G.Hello, my name is Dulce! (: I am doing my second year as a fellow here at HOC through the California Climate Action Corp program. I love engaging with the volunteers on a day-to-day basis. My favorite thing about working here is promoting HOC's outreach to increase food rescue with local partners and communities such as high schools and local businesses. On my free time I love to hike and explore new restaurants with my loved ones. So excited to connect with everyone who comes by HOC!
